It is dedicated to supporting programs and initiatives that enhance economic and educational well-being; and address health disparities and social inequality. The foundation provides assistance for charitable, cultural, educational, health and scientific purposes, to benefit the citizens of the Collin, Dallas and Denton counties and surrounding communities by providing support services, funds and through cooperative efforts with other social and civic organizations.

The Onward & Upward Empowerment Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Rho Nu Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi. Alpha Fraternity, Inc. It is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which operates on the pillars of education, community, and benevolence. Our commitment to our community and other parts of the Dallas area is to enhance citizens’ economic, social, and political awareness. The foundation’s primary focus is the Alpha Scholars group, students mentored by brothers of Rho Nu Lambda. To date, the foundation and chapter has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships.

"A Night in Hollywood" is a glamorous theme that brings the glitz and glamour of the iconic Hollywood scene to life as guests dress in their finest cocktail and formal attire, reminiscent of old Hollywood style. The sneaker ball aspect adds a modern twist, allowing guests to showcase their unique and stylish footwear.
